All of these different proposals put together form a series of distinct experiences as one moves through the park, along the Three River Heritage Trail. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail is always placed as close to the river as possible, but above a certain elevation to ensure that it is outside of the floodplain. It should connect East and West, to James Sharp landing and to Aspinwall Riverfront Park respectively. The commuter trail in the back provides an alternative, faster route through the backside of the park, as well as creating a 3-mile-long recreational loop when combined with the Three River Heritage Trail. Shoreline road weaves through all the 5 zones, with a connection to Main Street through the 19th Street tunnel. A parking analysis by Mobility in Chain shows that the park requires 80 parking spaces, but along the length of Shoreline road, there is room for up to 200 on-street parking spaces if needed.
